Depression is a disorder which depends on the moods and even personal thoughts of a person. Though there are medications also available but they would not be very fruitful. The best way to fight it would be self help for depression. It is one thing that anyone should work to get rid of depression. Even the advice and counselling of a doctor for depression in nursing homes can help out. The preliminary step would be to take a test for manic depression. Self help for depression would be reading and finding out ways from books, friends, family, improving self confidence and self esteem, try changing your attitude and take up some therapy to get motivated.
It is essential to know the things that keep us unhappy. Though there is no way of getting rid of all unhappy things and causes, there are always ways to keep us happy. Try to always view from a positive angle and not the negative side. The other modes of self help for depression would be setting your appetite and sleep to get along a routine order. You should see to that you don’t over eat or sleep and also see to that they are not too less. The mind should be kept occupied and act as a source of self help for depression.
